Here are the steps to connect a gas stove:
1. Buy the right gas stove connector that matches your gas source and range.
2. Pull out the old range and shut off the gas line.
3. Wrap the pipe threads with Teflon pipe-joint tape twice in the same direction as the fitting screws.
4. Attach the connector to the gas line and use a street elbow to connect it to the range gas port.
5. Tighten the nuts with a wrench and check for leaks with a soap solution.
6. Move the new stove in place and turn on the gas valve.
