To fade in GarageBand, you can use automation. Here are the steps:
1. In the left bar, click on the Instrument icon.
2. Select Automation.
3. Unlock the Pencil Tool at the top left.
4. Go to the very beginning of the track and tap on the volume line to create a volume point.
5. Determine when you want the track to stop fading in and place another volume point there.
6. Drag the line between the two points down to create a fade-in effect.
To fade out in GarageBand, you can use either automation or the built-in fade-out effect. Here are the steps for both:
1. Click Track > Show Master Track from the menu.
2. You’ll see the Master Track added to the bottom of your track list on...
3. Click Mix > Create Volume Fade Out on Main Output.
