To change the combination of a Sentry safe, you need to follow these steps:
1. Open the safe door with the key or the factory code.
2. Press the PROG or P key and enter the factory code or insert the change key to the lock.
3. Turn the combination knob and align the new numbers with the change mark or enter a new user combination consisting of a five-digit number.
4. Remove the change key or press the PROG or P key again to confirm the new combination.
If you don't have access to your factory code, you can find it by removing the inside panel of the door with a flat head screwdriver and scanning the barcode on the solenoid with a barcode scanning app on a smartphone.
