Here are some methods to check your heart rate:
1. Place your pointer and middle fingers on the side of your windpipe just below the jawbone. Count the pulses you feel for 15 seconds. Multiply this number by 4 to obtain your heart rate .
2. Place your index and third fingers on your neck to the side of your windpipe. To check your pulse at your wrist, place two fingers between the bone and the tendon over your radial artery — which is located on the thumb side of your wrist .
3. Turn your arm so it’s slightly bent and your inner arm is facing up toward the ceiling. Place your index and middle fingers along the side of your arm between the crook of your elbow on the top and the pointy bone at the bottom. Once you can feel the pulse, count how many beats occur in 15 seconds. Multiply this number by 4 to obtain your heart rate .
4. Use a heart rate monitor .
5. Use a smartwatch or fitness tracker that has a heart rate monitor .
